Tree Lighting Ceremony
Visit Edmonds for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, Santa Claus, Carols & Treats!
These groups are collecting items and monetary donations for the people they serve. Bring items and cash to support your community at this great event!
- Hero’s Cafe – Collecting toiletry items for local veterans.
- Edmonds Chamber Foundation – Accepting small cash donations for hunni water beverages. Collecting funds for scholarships to Edmonds Community College students.
- Love Recklessly – Collecting diapers (newborn-5) and cash donations for kiddos in foster care and those newly adopted.
- Clothes for Kids – Collecting new socks and new underwear (all sizes), warm coats/jackets/sweatshirts for boys and girls (sizes 3T through 16).

Some groups may have a small suggested cash donation for the treats they are offering – make sure to bring cash with you to support your community!
Q: Where is the Edmonds Tree Lighting Event?
A: Centennial Plaza – 5th Ave. N. & Bell St. in Edmonds.
Q: Which streets are closed and what time are they closed?
A: 12:00pm – 7:00pm. See map below for closed streets and location of event.
Q: What is the schedule of events?
3:00pm – Treats available, donation drives open
4:00pm – Holiday program starts (sing-along caroling, Santa visit and lighting of the community tree)
5:00pm – Program ends. Follow Santa to the Masonic Lodge (515 Dayton St.) for photos
5:15 – 7:00pm – photos with Santa
Q: Does it cost anything?
A: It does not cost anything to attend. Participating organizations give their treats for free and some have a small suggested cash donation for their treats. Bring your small bills of cash to help these great organizations support your community during the holidays. See which organizations are participating by clicking on the DONATE tab above.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: A little rain has never stopped Santa! The show will go on – make sure to dress accordingly.
