As we draw near the nation’s 246th birthday, plans to celebrate in Edmonds still include a healthy start to An Edmonds Kind of 4th with the Beat Brackett 5K and Baby Brackett 1K. Returning this year is the ever-popular Children’s Parade with over 1,500 kids and parents marching down the street decked out in patriotic attire. Don’t miss the Main Parade where you can march with your business or group, or just enjoy the 90+ floats and entries.
Different this year however is the July 4th fireworks show. Unfortunately, our location for launching fireworks is still under construction and other options are off the table. This isn’t stopping us, instead the Edmonds Chamber will sponsor and support the fireworks show over Lake Ballinger. Produced by the City of Mountlake Terrace, this show takes place on July 3rd.
“We hope our financial support of the Mountlake Terrace show will help make it even larger than past years” said Greg Urban, President & CEO of the Edmonds Chamber. “With the fireworks show over Lake Ballinger, it will be a delight for residents of both communities this summer.”
