It has been a whirlwind of planning and activity since the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce announced our intent to bring back the entire 4th of July celebrations on June 1st.  Stuffing 4+ months of event planning and logistics into only 4 weeks was daunting enough but the community has rallied to help make this a reality.  The necessary volunteers, vendors and parade entries have been secured and we are excited to shout from the rooftops that An Edmonds Kind of 4th is back!!!

“We cannot thank the community enough” said Greg Urban, President & CEO of the Edmonds Chamber “The outpouring of attention from local media and interest from the community has made this possible.  We aren’t done yet though.  There is still plenty of room for people to run in the Beat Brackett 5K race and march in the parade, so sign up and make the day’s events even better.”

Another big change this year is the fact that personal use of fireworks is now banned through all south Snohomish County.  This means increased enforcement and fines of up to $500 for shooting off fireworks.  Given the cancelation of last year’s show, new fireworks ban and our desire to make 2021 the best, we have gone BIG!

What does this mean?  In past years our professional show has featured around 500 shells bursting overhead, a respectable show for the community.  This year, however; will almost double that number to a 900+ shell fireworks display.  If you were ever interested in watching the Edmonds fireworks, this is the year to show up.

Thank you to a community who cares.  Our independent non-profit, the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, has been blessed to produce this important community celebration since 1907.  The support of our business community, foundations and local residents makes it all possible.  Your donations enable us to secure the necessary insurance, vendors, supplies and staffing to plan this full day of events.

Be sure to register, volunteer and support your “An Edmonds Kind of 4th” celebration.
