About Us

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce was chartered in 1907. The Chamber is a voluntary organization serving over 440 business and professional leaders in several neighborhoods including the Downtown Edmonds, Waterfront, Perrinville, Five Corners, Westgate and Highway 99 districts. The chamber mission is to promote the economic vitality of Edmonds through advocacy, leadership, education and community-building events. The organization also serves to encourage unified public support and initiate action for the sustainability of our rich quality of life in our community, county and state.

Members are encouraged to join committees and volunteer for events.  Board members meet monthly and participate in a yearly retreat to establish and monitor the work plan goals in response to the members.

Get involved.  Make it happen.  Your voice will be heard.

Testimonials

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce was the first organization I joined when my place of business opened its doors. The Chamber welcomed me and helped me to navigate the community.  The networking breakfasts allowed me to meet other like-minded professionals and grow my network of contacts and connections almost immediately.  The Chamber Ambassadors attended our Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting and made sure we had the support we needed as a new community member. I am a firm believer that much of our success is a direct result of our membership in the Edmonds Chamber and the events they host.  I appreciate all they do to help me and my organization.

Sno-King Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning is a member of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce for many reasons. The Chamber does far more work for our community than most of us realize, including Taste Edmonds, 4th of July, and many other fantastic events. My business has greatly benefitted from the Chamber by networking with other professionals in an environment that proves more beneficial than most other networking opportunities. Greg, Erica, Alicia & all the volunteers do a fantastic job!

I support the Edmonds Chamber as an individual member and I am also connected through Edmonds Community College as a Work Force Development/instructor.

The Edmonds Chamber and Edmonds Community College have had an excellent partnership for many years. We’ve worked with the Chamber who has provided EDCC a number of hands-on projects that give our students real world experience.  These community projects and internships have provided our students both practical learning and positive experiences within the business, non-profit and government arena.  I and the staff at EDCC are grateful for these collaborations, our partnership has truly benefited many in our community and made Edmonds a better place to live and work.

Keep up the great work!

Chuck Loomis, Edmonds Community College

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce is truly a connector that links local businesses and the communities. I am amazed by how organized and diversified of the many networking and community events led by The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce. I particularly enjoy the weekly breakfast networking opportunities where representatives, often business owners meet to discuss ideas and promote services and products in a friendly atmosphere. Among the many ways Chamber help promote my professional tax and accounting services, I find filming a video is a vivid way to promote my business.

The benefit of being a Chamber member lies not only having a chance to promote your business, but also leaning about who are the best around you. It’s a great feeling knowing my clients will receive great services and buy the best products when I referral them to professionals that I know and trust.

The chamber has been so supportive and helpful during my start-up year and now as I continue to grow. I think the value in being a member far exceeds the membership dues, even during these times when we need to carefully review our spending. You are a big part of what makes it special and you deserve a standing ovation for your tireless efforts. Thank you!!

Being a member of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce has been very instrumental in helping my business grow and succeed. From the first friendly call I received welcoming me as a new member I felt I ‘belonged’ in the Edmonds community. I am proud to be an important part of that unique sense of community that makes Edmonds so special. Thank you Edmonds for your support and friendship!

When Vickie and I took over the Waterfront Coffee Co in December of 2010 there were many, many ideas we had in mind. Many ideas have been implemented and others are still a work in process.  However the one thing we did not considered was how much of a benefit the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce could be to our business.  The Wednesday morning networking breakfast meetings have been a tremendous help and encouragement to our business. Although Vickie does not attend the weekly breakfast, as she is busy at the coffee shop, we both agree that my regular attendance has brought to our coffee shop both new friends and new customers. The Chamber has also allowed us to better connect with the community and other local businesses.  We greatly appreciate the support and relationships that have come about as a direct result of our involvement with the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

We at the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce want to publicly express our renewed commitment to be an inclusive organization that respects and celebrates the diversity of our business community and the entire Edmonds community.

Our mission is to promote the economic vitality of Edmonds through advocacy, leadership, education, and community events. We recognize that diverse backgrounds and experiences of Edmonds residents and business leaders contribute profoundly to that vitality. We aspire to be an organization that fosters an inclusive environment for the betterment of our community.

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce staff and Board of Directors strive to:

  • Continue to seek partnerships to share resources and ideas for promoting equity, and inclusion in the business community and beyond.
  • Look for opportunities to listen, learn, and grow in our equity efforts.
  • Foster environments in which we can lead meaningful discussions about equity in the business community.
  • Continue to educate ourselves on issues of inequity and ways to advance principles of inclusion.
  • Allocate resources toward fostering a more equitable business climate.

Much work remains in creating a world more equitable and welcoming for all.  We realize that making a meaningful difference in our community will require the work and commitment of many, not just a few.  We invite you to join us.
