Since the festivals beginning in 1982, there have been many changes over the years. In the early years, A Taste of Edmonds began as a handful of local restaurants selling small samples to a few hundred attendees.  Thirty plus years later, the “A“ and “of” were dropped and 40,000+ people make Taste Edmonds part of their August plans.

Once again, the event is changing.  These changes aren’t because of public demand but due to several other factors.  Here is what to expect and how it is changing:

Not your Typical Taste Edmonds

WE’VE MOVED: Due to planned construction at Civic Field, Taste is moving locations to the Frances Anderson Center Field (700 Main St.), which is only 20% of the space we had at Civic Field.

WHAT THE MOVE MEANS:  We had to drastically modify the programming, distilling the event down to great Live Music, a Beer & Wine Garden, Food Trucks, the Cornhole Tournament, and a few select Sponsors.

IT’S A FUNDRAISER:  As always, this event is a fundraiser for the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, in support of our FREE community events. Events like the 4th of July Parade & Fireworks, Edmonds Classic: Car & Motorcycle Show, Halloween Trick-or-Treat Night and the Tree Lighting Ceremony are all made possible because of funds raised at Taste Edmonds.  In addition, Taste raises thousands of dollars that go back into the community in the form of donations to local non-profits and service clubs.

TICKET PRICES:   You’ve probably noticed a change in ticket prices. Our event capacity has shrunk from 20,000 people per day down to 5,000.  Given that this event is a fundraiser we hope you’ll consider the great band line-up, awesome atmosphere and giving back to your community as well worth the ticket price. THE FINE PRINT:   Must be 21+ years old. Wristbands applied upon entry. Re-entry allowed with valid wristband. ID & Bag check every time you enter.   Ticket is all-access to music, food and lounges – there is no separate stage or beer garden.   ALL SALES FINAL. NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON. NOT EVEN FOR A SHARKNADO.
