The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Run for Good Racing Company, is excited to announce the return of the 4th of July 5K and 1K!
Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking for a fun, healthy way to start your Independence Day, this event is for you! Stick around after the race to enjoy the Edmonds 4th of July Parade and keep the celebration going. All proceeds benefit the Chamber's programming and bringing great events to Edmonds.
The Edmonds 4th of July Family Run, presented in 2025 by People’s Bank of Edmonds, is a fun and exciting race for the whole family. Registration opens in February.
The 1K is NOT timed, and pre-registration is required. The 1k race time has changed and will be starting at 9:00 before the 5K.
The 5K is timed and prizes are given for the top three runners in each gender and first place finisher in each age category. Winners will be recognized and prizes given shortly after the end of the race finish. View the 5K Route Here
Start for both races is at Edmonds City Park and Finish line is at 4th and Main.
The race route winds through the scenic streets of Edmonds and the Town of Woodway, culminating in a thrilling finish right on the Edmonds 4th of July parade route, where crowds cheer you on!
Think you’re fast? Try to beat Ol’ Man Brackett!
For those speedier runners, a beloved element of the old Edmonds 5K, you can still race against a costumed runner portraying one of Edmonds' legendary founders, Ol’ Man Brackett—if you can beat him to the finish line, you’ll earn bragging rights for the year.
Sign ups open in February and get ready to be part of this community tradition!

REGISTRATION INFORMATION!
The Family Run is a 1K fun and exciting race for the whole family.
$5 Registration for kids 13 and under. $10 for participants over 13. Price does not include a shirt, but you can add one on at the time of registration.
The Edmonds 4th of July 5K Run - Register early to save.
Due to insurance reasons space is limited. In 2025, the race hit capacity and sold out.
Registration timeline and prices:
February - March 31 Registration is $35.00
April 1 - May 31 Registration is $45.00
June 1 - July 3 Registration is $50.00
July 4 Day of Registration is $55.00
(Space is limited - registrations will close when capacity is reached)
